Had to go to Columbia today, so went to my favorite beer store. Chocolate covered the cherry which is evident only on the finish.

Cherry is prominent but not overwhelming... roasty with a touch of coffee... booze begins to stand out as it warms

Pretty good for a chilly night but not for eating a meal with. Lol Kinda like a dessert beer. I like a little more subtle in my flavors. Don’t want it to overpower a freshly nice beer. Just a bit to tart for me.

Sweet and chocolate notes with a bourbon backdrop. Good but like other KBS it has too much alcohol flavor at the tail end.

Up front chocolate and roast notes back note is cherry syrup type flavor. Overall a yummy beer!

Wonderful aroma. As sweet as I should have expected it to be, given the high ABV. Definitely a beer to share with someone.

I had higher hopes for this beer but it’s still quite good. It may be this particular batch but the cherry is virtually non-existent and even the chocolate is hard to identify. It is more of a standard bourbon barrel-aged, smoky, coffee type beer.

Everything was surprisingly muted here. Lack of barrel, minimal cherry (graciously), some mild milk chocolate notes, and a thin mouthfeel.

Really shouldn’t be drinking this now, but I am chasing a badge. Don’t like to miss one for one of my favorite beer styles. Prost y’all.
