Wow.. different .. definitely getting the barrel aged booziness..

Characteristic Oktoberfest flavors are definitely in there, but the strongest flavor is bourbon.

Not for me. A touch fusel, some generic fruit and mild toast. Surprisingly boring for a 10% bb beer.

A different take on October fest

Beer review haiku. Potent aroma. Thickish, slight booze, but still smooth. Best time to drink beer.

Unique beer. Clear copper pour with low carbonation. Flavor is sweet with subtle smoke and alcohol. Thought this would be a love it or hate it beer but it surprisingly lands somewhere in the middle for me.

Very sweet with some alcohol..I knew this would be hit or miss but it's in between

Tastes like someone put a shot of whiskey in my märzen then soaked some sourdough in it.

Good. Not quite an “ultimate” label brag but very smooth.

Wasn't at all confident that this would work, but it's solid. The barrel is pretty muted.

The bourbon really comes through. Just a little too sweet

It’s good. Reminds me of a Märzen. But… it isn’t one. Sooo… I have to knock it because of that.

Sweet and boozy. The Marzen (even for being an imperial) is pretty obscured by the BBA process. The boozy heat is medium and the ABV is tolerable. A decent choice if you want a seasonal BBA beer, not something I’d celebrate Oktoberfest with, though.

Don't know how I feel about this one. Kinda like a bourbon malt...if that's a thing. Nothing really"marzen" coming through (other than the maltyness). It's good...whatever it is. :)

Bitter finish is out of place, more like an old ale. Thin bodied for a 10% BA beer. Still, surprisingly not bad. It’s almost like there was a better beer here and it was watered down to bottle more. Wish Avery had BA’d The Kaiser back in the day.

Decent, although the more stuff like this I try, the more I think that not a lot of beer styles can hold up to this degree of barrel-aging. The usual malty character of an Oktoberfest is drowning in bourbon. (What a way to go that would be...)

Sweet, malty, and boozy. Something about it is a bit off for me.

I know what they were going for, but I never thought "you know what would make this Oktoberfest better? Bourbon"

Still has all the same Oktoberfest brew flavors but double the Abv! Plus some bourbon notes! Really strong bourbon on the nose at first!
