Exactly as I expected. Solid marzen with barrel character

So eating reflects how I think it does if you're in to the style. I don't typically care for marzens. That being said, the bourbon shines through the roasted malts without being overbearing, they also managed to keep it tasty at a 10% abv.

Solid. In many way I’d rather drink one of these over a few regular October fest style beers. It’s malty and sweet but a nice boozy kick to the finish. I wish they had a proper emoji for this. 🍻👍🏽

Ok. The barrel overtakes any real Marzen flavor that you would be looking for. That being said, it is a tasty bourbon barrel aged beer. Pretty significant heat - might let this sit for a little bit before I open the next one.

Big ol bourbon barrel influence on this Marzen is enjoyable. Better than other BA Marzens I've had.

Leafy malty, bready with a barleywine taste - no bite, and the marzen does come out at the end and as you drink it, there’s a subtle crispness too

One of my favorite Oktoberfest I can remember. The sweetness of the bourbon barrel really adds to the sweetness of the marzen complimenting both incredibly well

A sweetness with barrel vanilla character. It calls for a scoop of ice cream. I look forward to seeing how this ages.
