Holy.... was not expecting that. So boozy for an oktoberfest. The bourbon flavor really comes though.

I’m a BB slut but this is a bit sweet. Half to let warm up and bit and reflect again.

Very boozy, very sweet. Malty, nutty. Probably the best Oktoberfest beer I've had. Strong.

I could take or leave this. The bourbon presence is certainly nice, but it drowns our everything else.

I'm not sure the bourbon barrel aging works with the Märzen style. The perfect Oktoberfest beer is decisively crisp, articulating each note of flavor. Bourbon is mellow, yet loud. There is an argument of sorts happening here. It's not beneficial.

Wow... not sure what I expected but this is good. Not an everyday or a lot at one time drinker but good. Can definitely taste the aging process.

Drinks very boozy at first, but then rounds off nicely with a good malty aftertaste.

B’sFTOD - I really enjoyed it, the flavor, the feel, the color. Barrel did mask the style. Overall pretty solid and tasty. 🍻1️⃣❤️🌎☮️

TAG

10% ABV BBA Märzen. This is slightly better on draft. Malty Märzen base is a nice launching pad for bourbon flavors of toffee, vanilla and butterscotch. 4.25 on tap.

Bourbon is subtle but it takes away from the malts of a good Märzen

Barrel-aging might not improve this. Just made it a little boozy. 3.6

Sulking that I don't like this as much as I thought I would. Kinda warm and boozy. But, the caramel maltiness I love about Oktoberfests is mostly hidden.

Yeah, this is really good. Every Oktoberfest should be aged in bourbon barrels. Only knock is the lack of any head

Subtle barrel notes on the nose. Slight smell of carmalized sugar. Booze forward but it’s not that potent. String notes of vanilla with a little smoke. Reminds me of knob creek. Smooth and easy going throughout

First time trying a bourbon barrel-aged Oktoberfest, decided the last day of Oktoberfest was a good time to crack it. Taste way different since it's been aged in bourbon. Sweeter. Bourbony. Celebrating my soon to be ex-wife moving out! Good riddance.

Malty boozy dark fruit nose. Hides the ABV well. Doesn't taste particularly authentic and I'm sure it breaks all the purity laws but it's tasty.

Very boozy. The Marzen flavors are definitely overpowered by bourbon. Just the subtlest hint of malt.
