Whoa boozy! But followed by very good sweet chocolate coffee and bourbon. Hot hit hot. I'll probably be asleep shortly.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Strader
Perfection! My first on a Christmas morn years ago, spilled on my mom's white carpet. Oh no. Founders announced retirement of this beer so I saved one-very valuable. Now they released again and my bottle is only worth my absolute enjoyment now.

Thus is absolutely delicious. Bottle date 2016. Enlightening Josie and her partner to the finer drinks.

QUARTER LIFE CRISIS - FOUNDERS 25TH ANNIVERSARY BEER Strader
Vanilla maple boozy maple nose. Whiskey up front followed by hazelnut maple with vanilla on the end. A little too much hazelnut for my personal taste. Good mouthfeel not overly boozy.

Mothership Series Barrel Aged Nemesis Strader
It's a #BiL kind of night and this is aging really really nicely

Malty boozy dark fruit nose. Hides the ABV well. Doesn't taste particularly authentic and I'm sure it breaks all the purity laws but it's tasty.

Toffee caramel candy nose. Sweet and smooth. Very low carb. Boozy toffee caramel. Some underlying dark fruitiness. Man this 15.1% is warming me up on this chilly first day of Fall. #BiL!!

Before Untappd when MySpace, flipphones and BeerAdvocate were king we would drive for miles behind the distributor just to snag a full 4 pack of KBS. There was also a cult following for this beer. It's been at least 10 years since I've had it.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Strader
Poured a bit thinner than I was expecting but great roasty aroma of chocolate and some dark fruit. Mouthfeel a bit thinner than I was expecting too but great flavor. Sweet roasty malt and bitter chocolate with a hint of coffee.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017) Strader
Good solid nose of malt molasses licorice chocolate. Very well aged. Slightly sweet, chocolate malt boozy. Coffee has faded off. Quite tasty with a slight bitter finish.

Bourbon Aged Golden Stout Strader
Doesn't look like a stout but tastes like a stout. Very sweet with big roasted malt barrel oak bourbon coffee flavor. Actually maybe tastes more like a barleywine but maybe that's because I'm anticipating what I came for...

Oh yesssss. This is what I came for. Big rich toffee sweet and maybe even a little green. Got some bottles and looking to put some age on this. Sond roasted malt notes and maybe even coffee? Maybe some bright hops under there that will fade with age. #BiL

Warewolves of Michigan Strader
Cellar Raid 2021! Outside in the beer garden so bus fumes and propane fumes interfering with aroma but really nice flavor. Nice West coast bitter hop bite but not too astringent. Very nice IPA!

Got the fire going, now just waiting for my brunch beer coffee buddy to get here! Iaky caramel boozy nose. Aged just right. One of my favorite Founders beers. Slightly sweet caramel toffee rich flavorful full bodied.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Strader
Just keeps getting better with age if you like sweet stouts. Maple still noticable and strong chocolate fudge presence.

Fruity peach nose. Not sure how much this changes from year to year, but last couple years were meh to my palette. This year is different though somehow. Getting nice sweet fruity flavors and fresh hops on the front. Good bitter finish. Really enjoyable.

This is really good, but my absolute favorite is the Mackinac Island fudge version.

Like its name chocolate and raspberry. Usually not a big fan if raspberry in beer but gies well with the chocolate. Go Reds!
