Octoberfest Beer School. What the hell is this? Why would you do what you did? You ruined decent Octoberfest beer with a bourbon barrel you nimrods.

Tastes like I’m not allowed to use the good printer. This is firmly in Founders’ tradition of imperial-izing and barrel aging styles that don’t want or need that treatment. Fusel, cloying, and somehow thin.

Credit for its barrel presence. They nailed that. There is no semblance of an Oktoberfest in any stretch of the imagination.

Pour looks like ice tea. Light off white head. Smells are light. First sip is sweet, light flavors, almost zero bourbon. Midway, more of the same. Light finish, smooth. Tastes watered down. Was expecting a more rich Octoberfest, got the opposite.

Not liking it. Too dark, bitter smokyish but then Im neither an IPA nor bourbon drinker. More of a rum and pilsner file. Glad I tried it. Better beer than seltzer.

I’m so glad I didn’t buy a full 4 pack. This is a waste of beer and a waste of bourbon barrels. Ultimate Oktoberfest? Zero beer character leaves you with watered-down bourbon. What a shame!

This falls into the category of “wish I’d read the label before buying.” Bourbon barrel aged Oktoberfest? Blasphemy, I say! Good thing it was only one of a mix and match six pack. Full disclosure: I do not like whiskey of any kind, especially bourbon.

Ok... This just SOUNDS like a bad idea, so I only got a 5oz... Bourbon barrel aged German style Oktoberfest Märzen?!?! No aroma at all. Very burbon flavor. Almost NO beer flavor at all. Thats why most bourbon beers are heavier, darker styles.

Actually really good! Very balanced. Subtly sweet with a hint of rye spice and a nice vanilla and oak undertone on the finish. Dangerously smooth for 10%

Something to kill the time while waiting for the manly dinner to finish up. Super tasty. Nice balance with the bourbon barrel. Just noticed it’s 10%. Perhaps it should have been dessert. Thanks, Art. I’ll be looking out for this in stores.
