Hitting my ‘22 4 pack. I think this variant is their best in the KBS series. Enjoyed ‘20, now ‘22 (missed ‘21 🤔). The fudge, maple & bourbon w/ the original KBS plays so well together IMHO. Cheers to these Founders making it everywhere for us to enjoy!

Just over one year old, mellow and fudge-y… then the barrel aging starts floating around and takes it one step beyond! Absolutely fabulous! Mmmm, mmmm 😋 good 👍

Just over a year old and seems just right. Some maple, and the fudge is strong but not overpowering. Coffee is also spot on. Happy National Coffee Day!

Alltså muuuums! Choklad- och kaffetoner är väldigt framträdande. Detta är bland mina absoluta favostouts! Nu är det julledigt fram till 9/1. Det är värt att fira lite 🤩

Brought up some KBS from the cellar to share with friends. Pleasant evening, delicious beers. Favorite of the whole selection.

Nose is straight chocolate. Flavor is much more coffee. You get the earthy coffee up front and a sweet dark chocolate behind that thanks maple. The sweet dark chocolate and coffee is equal throughout the center of the flavor profile. Great mouth feel.

This fudge has developed better in 1.5 yrs. Notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup & aging it in oak BBL’s. Chewy w/ bitter chocolate in a sweet dessert Stout. Best variant recipe hands down.

Had to abandon the ‘18 KBS (4 yr rule!). This has developed better in 1.75 yrs. Notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup & aging it in oak BBL’s. Chewy w/ bitter chocolate in a sweet dessert Stout. Best variant recipe hands down.

So glad these are back! Pours a deep dark brown color with aromas of coffee and fudge. The mouthfeel is medium with flavors of strong coffee up front, with Mackinaw fudge notes through the middle and end. Not as much fudge as before and light bourbon.

This stuff is so good. Super pump they brought it back. A bit more coffee when cold, but rounds out with chocolate and maple sweetness when it warms a bit.

Original and all variants are usually great, but this is easily my favorite! Just as good as 1st batch
