KBS - Chocolate Espresso Rauls
I feel like they have done this already. How’s about coconut or adjunct free?

Still amazing and I love the old school label.

Backwoods Bastard (2022) Rauls
I’ve had this beer 100’s of times over many years. It is my “go-to”. Beer I have to give it a five because it’s honestly a perfect beer.

So much espresso. Very rich with deep coffee and mellowed oak and vanilla. Hard to say if I like this or the original better.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Rauls
I didn’t know what to expect but this is obviously OG kbs with the adjuncts added to it. You get that chocolate and coffee but the cinnamon hits hard and the vanilla is more in the background but definitely present. Overall a solid beer but the og is #1.

This is everything that underground mountain brown should have been. Coffee is the star but vanilla chocolate and bourbon are there for support all the way down. Very tasty beer for those who love coffee.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Rauls
I think they nailed this beer. It’s got all the characteristics of a traditional bourbon cocktail, orange zest, cherry, oak, vanilla and bourbon. This is definitely a great sipping beer.

I’m drinking through my stash and I found this bomber that I’ve been sitting on for two years. I never really knew when I’d want this much Mas Agave but today is the day. The tartness is subdued and it’s really balanced. Very nice for a hooot 4th of July

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 12.4% Rauls
Nothing like having a five year old kbs on tap right down the street from your job.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Strawberry Rauls
This is really my first seltzer that I remember but I like it and having nothing to rate it against, I have to give it 4. Being from Founders, I bet it’s one of the best out there. Thanks for sharing Isaac J.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Lime Rauls
Surprisingly, I like the strawberry better. I can’t wait to have the grapefruit, I’m hoping that it’s better than the lime. Either way, I will be crushing all of them this summer.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) Rauls
I’ve checked this beer over a dozen times in all vintages and nitro, so There is not much more to say. I’m just tryin to save the few I have because who knows when they will make it again. But I’m drinking this one tonight.

I am discovering that I just don’t like nitro beer. This is CBS and I’m not loving it.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2020) Rauls
I didn’t know they made CBS this year. Must be draft only. I’m glad it made it to my neighborhood.

Underground Mountain Brown (2020) Rauls
This year tastes better than I remember from last year, the coffee is the same but the bourbon seems to come through more this year which was my one complaint last year. Also most of the beer I just checked were from the last couple days, just sayin.

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout (2017) Rauls
Deep, rich and complex. Hits roasty and bitter at first with some smoke coming through immediately after. Vanilla is present throughout and it finishes with chocolate and coffee. Tasting fantastic rn.

Rating on the style, it’s definitely one of the best golden/blonde ales I’ve had. All the flavors work together in balance but you know each one is present individually. Plus everyone knows that Founders does coffee beer very well.

Backwoods Bastard (2020) Rauls
Freshly bottled a couple weeks ago and tasting great as always. This has become a go-to beer for me. It’s constantly great, full barrel, oak, caramel and sugar flavors. Also reasonably priced. When I want an evening bourbon barrel sipper, this does it.

So they are calling it a quadruple IPA now and it’s 15% abv, but it was an imperial/double a year ago and at 17% . Either way it still tastes great but the best thing about this beer is how well it ages. Will it do the same at a lower abv?
