This is often a go-to for a dessert pairing… And it does not disappoint. Bit of a coffee flavor to this brew, and really stood out with the banana cupcake.

Dark chocolate on the nose with solid coffee notes on the swallow.

Typical of Founders, the taste is bold and coffee forward. The chocolate is more retiring but slightly sweet. The beer is labelled “double chocolate coffee oatmeal stout” but coffee notes seem to dominate. Never had anything from Founders I disliked.

Had this one a while back. Definitely could taste the coffee, super smooth. Felt like a breakfast stout all the way down. A definite go to.
