Surprised no checkins but preceded Untapped. My very first Scotch Ale and loved it. Started my love affair with Scotch Ales!

Zacht, maar krachtig. Wat zoet, maltig, beetje chocolade en iets rokerig. Vrij ferme hopbitterheid en milde carbonisatie. Nette schuimkraag. Ruikt iets zoet en rokerig. Wel mooie smaken zo, net even wat anders.

Now this a really good scotch ale. Not Oversweet, lots of malt depth. Scent of caramel and raisins. Taste wise we have rich malts bringing caramel, leather, peat, earth and wort ( in a good way ) It's in a little sweet with a dry, warming finish.

Untapp’d advent calendar day 11. An overpowering flavour of unsweetened drop/licquorice. Masks the malt and hoppy flavors, although they come through after a few moments. Grows on you after a while, but overall not a fan. But great name!

Another complex beer from Founders brewery. Rich strong and malty, a hint of barrel aging and some spicyness and lasting bitter finish. A perfect sipping beer for a frosty snowy winter night that we have outside at this moment.
