Advent beer Day 9. Big, strong, a touch of peat. Malt dominates, but not as sweet or boozy as most of this style. One of my favorite Scotchies.

Pretty smooth for a string ale. Had two days ago at Starlight Circle GC event.

В нос вино и сладость. По вкусу кисло-сладкое с горечью в послевкусии. В аромативе винная бочка, ваниль, чергослив

Screwed up my calendar. I'm away for 2 nights and brought my beers along. Picked the wrong one tonight. Tonight I'm living in the future. The future is lots of malty, boozy goodness.

Very tasty. The beer version of an Islay whisky. Lots of different malt flavors.

Alcoholic but not boozy. Medium sweetness is based on caramel and dried fruits. Warming.

Carmel and roasty nose. First sip is a rush of burnt and bitterness. But it’s smooth. It fades into a carmel and sweetness. It’s a good scotch ale. The high abv gives it a nice malty pop at the back end. Easy to drink for a 8.5% beer. Would have more.

Bottled 6/30/2022. Dark ruby in color and brewed with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness and a right hook of hop.

Think I rated this unfairly on my first try. Must have gotten a bad bottle, because this one is good and good for you.
