Classic and classy. Nice woody and cherry notes. Malty but not brash. Earthy and well in balance with a mild leathery fade.

Roasty-toasty malt nose. Big rich layered malts: nutty, roasty, toasty, caramel. Red-malt influences, not much very dark. Very subtle smoke. Rounded and mouthcoating, and lingers quite gently. Very nicely put together. A lovely autumnal beer.

Absolutely terrific way to cap a day trip to Madison, WI. Found this tavern - Maduro Cigar Bar - and enjoyed a fine Dominican cigar that paired spectacularly with draught Dirty Bastard. Also had a pour of Jefferson's Reserve and 4 🥀 Bourbon. Recommended.

Par for the course, decent stout, there’s another flavor in here, don’t know if it’s the “scotch” part of it or what but it’s ok

BIG malt forward flavor, nice smooth toasted almost nutty backbone. Throw in the little hop finish that it has and this is a nice ale.

Too much head, let it settle. Poured in the rest of the bottle... apparently let it settle too much.
