Comfit fruits, berries/black fruits (mostly blackcurrant side), grilled but not sweet caramel taste, soft woody/roasty malt savours, chocolate toffee bar, welcome background bitterness… Acid bitterness or bitter sourness. Not so smooth but effective.

Beauty dark ruby in color. Hints of smoke and peat. Nice malt bill and hoppyness. My favorite “wee heavy “. Slàinte Mhath!

2016 likely the last time I've had this. A shame, since it's very good. Scotch Ale like, but probably more hops than standard. Creamy. Very good.

50 IBU - a bit hoppy for me. But also heavy malt to cover that.

Go to Scottish Ale. Malty forward with a smooth, slightly sweet boozy finish.
