A classic for a reason. Nice medium thick body with notes of dark chocolate and coffee. Malty and really balanced. Not too sweet.

Celebrating another year of canning finishing today. Cracked this open as the first jar popped its seal closed.

It's just so good. I think I'm gonna have my next one with a big ol weekend breakfast, since it's just pure coffee and boozy perfection!

Nice! Not sure if I’d have one for breakfast though... strong coffee, deep and dark. Hoped for a warmer aftertaste though.

Bourbon, coffee and then chocolate in the taste. It's been better in years past, but I'm glad it's available year round now. 4.5/5

2019. Strong bourbon upfront and nose. Coffee carries through, but chocolate has settled into the background. Not the best KBS, but still superior to most. Exorcised w/ “Don’t Kill It (2016)” Dolph Lundgren hunting demons in the Western sense... Yaaassss!

At a minimum it’s a great beer. I couldn’t see myself drinking a full serving. Too heavy and good in limited quantities.

Fantastic! I love everything Founders does, but this is the best of theirs that I’ve had (although I really like their Backwoods Bastard too). I’ll be hitting the store ASAP for more.
