A little too much coffee and bitterness for my likeing

Zwart met stevig bruin schuim. Ruikt inderdaad naar koffie en pure chocolade, maar doet me ook aan rode wijn denken. Uiteraard ook koffie en chocola in de mond met ook iets van brood, rozijnen en wat rood fruit. Stevig en boozy met een mooi palet.

Vanavond drinken we in het thema: Amerikaans! Zo ook deze klassieke en geprezen stout! Afgevuld op 2020-03-13, snurkt al 2 jaar in de voorraadkast. Mooi bakkie straffe en roasty koffie. Pure chocolade en vanille, bourbon. Een mooie afsluiter van 🇺🇸 GP!

Pretty value-for-money barrel aged coffee stout. Not much to complain about given the price ($14.50). This isn’t something I would crave for but don’t mind giving it another go.

Fantastic breakfast beer, aged for 3 years. Thick roasted barrel aged imp stout with maple. A throughout great creation!

One of the rare instances where the bottle versions are better than draft. I thoroughly enjoyed the snifter of this I had, but the colder temp and extra carbonation pushed through the liquid left a effervescent mouthfeel that diminished KBS’ subtler notes

Aroma: vanille, chocola en koffie. Smaak: zoet, vanille, chocola en koffie. Mooi bier.
