I think of this as the gold standard of straight up porters. Slightly more roasty than I’d prefer but I’m nitpicking.

Quite an excellent example of the style. Lots of chocolate notes, roasty and some coffee qualities but also smooth and slightly sweet from the malts.

Dark rich and roasty. No special adjuncts. Just a good solid porter.

Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, and faint floral hops. Taste features dark chocolate and espresso and mild dark fruit. There is a present bitterness that lingers on the palate assumed to be from the roasted malt. "Dark, Rich & Sexy" may sum it up best.

Bottled Feb 20. Pours dark with a khaki head. Chocolate and malt taste. Finish is slightly bitter. No idea what I'm talking about but a good beer and I have the world's best boss
