[bottled 07.24.23] Despite a few months in the fridge, still a marked deficiency in barrel character (a little in the nose and lesser still in the flavor). Still a good beer, but a shadow of former Bastards😢

Nice & smooth with a sweet malty caramelly spiced boozy flavor. Goes well with our Italian Sausage Goulash. Also a good after dinner sipping beer.

Bourbon barreled scotch ale. Bourbon caramel aroma and flavor with dry finish from oak. Nice sipper.

11% BBA Scotch Ale What a nice brew! A barrel aged Wee Heavy, and 11%. I have been waiting for this all night but I owed Marc-Antoine H. an answer. It was worth the wait! A little boozy with the barrel but the roasted malts & caramel create complexity!
