2023 French Toast Bastard! Woohoo! A hair boozier than last year, in my estimation. But I bet it will mellow with time.

Big maple syrup, cinnamon and sweet vanilla. Literally tastes like I’m drinking a piece of French toast. Outstanding this year.

Smells like maple syrup. Tastes very sweet like maple syrup, then a nice flavor of scotch ale, slight cinnamon. Very maple syrup heavy, vanilla. Tastes just like French toast. Bready.

I'm not a fan of the regular Backwoods Bastard, but this iteration is always phenomenal. This year's may be the best yet! Tastes like maple syrup soaked French toast squeezed into a glass.

There is simply nothing wrong with this scotch ale. Aroma of maple and caramel butter, body that eases on the back of the palette, sweetness and darkness that do not overpower. I can't wait to sip this all season. Beautiful brew.

Amazing! Strong but no hint of booze. It is like liquid French toast… delicious ba finish. A perfect craft beer!

Phenomenal. The best beer I’ve had since Hardywood GBS. Smells and tastes like French Toast without being overly sweet.
