This is a strong bourbon barrel stout, very smooth but not something you’ll be able to pound. Savor this one and enjoy the flavor.

I could pick-up a nice blueberry scent but it didn’t have much of a blueberry flavor. It was negligible or very subtle. Otherwise, good beer. Hazelnut is still my favorite by far of all the barrel aged series!

11.2% ABV BBA Imperial Stout. Chocolate and blueberries are predominant with undertones of vanilla, coffee, and oak. Too sweet or would be rated higher.

Tastes like if you brewed a stout with that blueberry syrup you get at IHOP. Rich, tart, sweet.

Really blueberry forward. So much so that it overpowers the base. I like blueberries, so I like this beer.

Masterpiece... reminds me of 2013 bcbs bramble which is still a top 5 bwer for me... this is berries plus barrel done right

Not terrible, but not great. The base KBS is missing the roasted coffee notes. The flavor is a subtle roasted malt with a strong tartness from the blueberry.

Meh. Just doesn’t work for me. I brewed a blueberry stout years ago that would put this to shame. Faint blueberry flavor comes off as chemical like…yeah it’s a pass overall sorry.

Clearly fruitier than other KBS offerings. Almost overpowering, but some maple, oak & vanilla flavors creep through. My feeling is this one will improve with age.

Thanks Chris K.! Sure, if you did ... Sweet malts, sweet barrel, light roast, light berry. Not as thick or deep as other variants in the series. Solid.
