Ugh, this beer isn't as good as it should be. Sweet maple bourbon & vanilla. Boozy in a good way. Molasses caramel....BUT the spices are WAY too strong! Strong spice smell & taste. Nutmeg, cinnamon & clove. It should be a 4.5-.75, but is a 3.75 too spicy.

It is sooooo strong. It has a super boozy flavor that overpowers almost all the other flavor. I detect a hint of chocolate though.

You can’t miss the bourbon. You get the maple sweetness but not much pumpkin

TAG

LCI. 13.1% ABV BBA Imperial Yam Beer. Maple and bourbon barrel add some nice flavors to this lightly boozy brew. Pumpkin and spices are also there.

I'm pretty sure no beer was involved in the making of this...uh...beer. So. Boozy. It's probably just straight-up bourbon.

Weird aroma. Allspice forward. Not much of an improvement on pumpkin spice. Meh, for me.

I was hoping for a little more from this. People mention “great pumpkin taste” and “balanced” but I disagree. I’m getting too much barrel, accentuated by tons of maple and a little clove. As a pumpkin beer lover, the pumpkin gets drowned out for me.

I like it. One of the better pumpkin ales I’ve had, actually. Nice full flavor at 57 degrees. It should be interesting to see how it is as it warms.

This may be my favorite "pumpkin" fall beer. Maple comes through the most but still light. The spices and barrel all balance out smoothly

Founders is just good at beer. Complex layers of cinnamon, nutmeg followed by the boozy maple bourbon taste. Well done

Was excited for this, but sadly, not what I was expecting. Doesn't really taste like pumpkin spice. I can taste the maple, but then it tastes like star anise. Was hoping for more cinnamon and nutmeg.
