I know it’s just barely into August, but the pumpkin itch needed a scratch-this fella is big, sweet and rich. The pumpkin spices are tempered by the big abv, but the finish is still pumpkin pie.

Way too smooth for the abv. Sweet, full of warming spices. Really enjoyed this one.

Very unique. Pretty sweet, lots of spices. Doesn't taste even close to what it should with that ABV. Warm on the way down though... it's not overdone. Overall pretty good.

Boozy. Maple is strong. Spices are OK. For what it is, it is fairly balanced with maple a little heavy. Its OK. Bring on curmudgeon's better half instead. That's a perfect beer.

Nutmeg, cinnamon with pumpkin in background. Sweet maple all the way thru. Spices add , but do not overwhelm flavor profile. Over ice cream ?

Full bodied, almost syrupy. Flavors of maple, allspice and pumpkin with a fair amount of barrel flavor. Was that expecting worse but pleasantly surprised

13.1% BBA Pumpkin Ale Delicious, the barrel is just the right amount. A nice addition to the Barrel Aged Series!

Definite bourbon aroma...not as syrupy or strong tasting as one would expect. Slight pumpkin flavor....not bad.

Great balance of barrel aging, spices, and maple sweetness. Any pumpkin flavor is somewhat muted behind these. Overall delicious.

Way too sweet! Kind of over all the maple barrel ages beers from founders. The sweetness just overpowers everything. It reminds me pretty much of a sweeter version of French Toast Bastard. I’ll stick to Backwoods for my fall beer.

Heavy maple in my opinion. Good pumpkin spice flavor on the back end, but I couldn’t drink more than 1 of these.
