Bit of a sharp alcohol upfront, but mellows as you drink. Not as thick and Rick as other imperial stouts.

Bourbon en maple komt er goed uit. Ik denk dat ik de KBS net een fractie beter vond.

Last beer in my “Alberta” beer passport. Although not an Alberta beer I feel like the Canadian connection makes it okay.

2019 edition... I really like this mixture of coffee and chocolate (with hints of bourbon if you are like me and don’t like bourbon you will notice it a little). It’s a 4.1 or so but with some vanilla ice cream easy 4.4-4.5, the light maple helps a lot!

Rich chocolate flavor without too much sweet and balanced bourbon. Easy to see why it is an OG

I love Founders Stouts! “Everyone” raves about CBS. It is a great Stout, I’m just no sure it is significantly better than Founders KBS. My palette must not be as refined as others!

black coffee sweetened with maple in aroma, balanced barrel notes, one of the best beers with maple syrup, a bit sweet but very good
