Forgot to check this in from a few weeks back. This beer is ridiculously more expensive than any beer should ever cost. And as such, not sure how many times I'll ever have it again. That said, the hype is real and it is very, very good.

Fuck these “All aboard the Trump train” signs. I’m rolling on the Stout train tonight & it’s awesome. 2nd growler pour of this great stout & “Beetlejuice” equals a win in my book. Booze definitely hits more on this glass.

2019 batch. The age really brings out the sweetness here. Really big candy bar notes of caramel, toffee, vanilla, and of course a massive Maple punch. The fresh batch has a far larger bitter black coffee profile but here I get a slightly sweet cold brew.

T'was the last one. Aurevoir pis bebye. Honnêtement, elle a commencé à changer, pris un peu de maturité mais c'est pas nécessairement positif.

Founders seems to be releasing kegs of 2019’s version throughout the year. Maybe Covid pushed them to release these intended for a later release? Dark pour. Still smells of maple & bourbon. Tastes complex of the maple/bourbon/coffee/vanilla mix. Wonderful

9/2019 bottling date. Much better than the first time i had it - not overly boozy, supremely well balanced, excellent overall.

It was perfect and everything I wanted it to be. Perfect balance of maple syrup and bourbon flavor. Has the classic KBS taste as well. An amazing way to end vacation.

Paired so nicely with roasted spiced pumpkin (and with a good 75% dark chocolate ;). Impressive balance for such a rich, sweet brew.
