Opaque dark-brown with frothy tan head & lacing. Smoked-bacon nose & taste; add maple-syrup flavor. There’re chocolate & coffee, as well. Roasty malts & lovely bourbon-barrel notes complete a rich mouthfeel. Welcome back, old friend !

Tasty as always. I imagine everybody else is holding their keg for Omaha beer week..

This CBS is way better than KBS. Definitely has rich flavor of roasty chocolate, and sweet boozy caramel. Definitely a slow sipping beer for sure. Sit back and enjoy. Cheers!!!

Great start to Mitten Fest 2024. Glad Founders brought this back. This vintage seems more coffee forward than the maple forward ones I remember. Still awesome.

Hm? I hope it was just my beer and not the whole batch; didn’t taste as sweet as it used to taste. More of the bourbon taste is shining though compared to past years.

Starts with the bourbon kick (bad) but ends with a nice rich chocolate flavor (good). Five ounces is plenty.

Not a stellar year. The syrup is taking a back seat to the coffee this time. Perhaps it will mellow with age

Nice creamy coffee. Flavor tastes a little more fake than I recall.
