Really nice. Glad they decided to crank back into brewing this one. Tons of chocolate malty sweetness and roasty coffee with the perfect kiss of maple sweetness and woody barrel.

No not milk, or milky stout, imperial stout is Santa’s drink.

Well it’s back after being retired. Thick and warming coffee and cocoa…the bourbon goes well with brunch…it is a “breakfast” stout after all. 😉

So incredibly nuanced. Notes of chocolate, vanilla, caramel, coffee & maple… and bourbon of course. Definitely the crown jewel of Founder’s. (4.45/5)

Start with Founder’s signature barrel aging process, using Beer City’s gypsum mines under the city streets; whether you are a beer snob or not, the beer brings that buzzilicous that says, life is too short to make it complicated. Let's hear that roar! 🦁

O: med dark brown, med-high foam. S: barrel and then some maple def comes through. Med-thick bodied, light carbo. T: vanilla, black coffee, and maple on a nice bourbon stout base. A bit rougher on aftertaste than I remember. Glad it’s back!

A triumphant return for one of my all time favs. Rich and deep with dark chocolate and coffee up front with maple and vanilla kicking in towards the finish.
