Nitro version. I always think that I will like it on nitro but it’s just not the same. Too creamy. Great flavor. Just not a nitro fan.

Such a damn good stout. Smooth and sweet coffee and chocolate.

A little too much coffee. Might smooth out after some time.

Glad this is back. More coffee than I expected compared to 2018. Enjoyed the maple and soft bourbon. I’ll age this and see how the coffee mellows

CBS is out of retirement! Bottled Oct 17 - so fresh, and so unbelievably good.

Delightful that it’s back. Now I don’t only have to hoard bottles, I can also buy them!

Didn’t realize CBS was back! It’s great to drink this without the hype that existed the first time it was distributed out here about 6 years ago or so. It’s also at a much better price point.

Solid BBA Stout! Very coffee forward, hints of dark chocolate, maple sweetness and a light touch of a bourbon presence. Not what I remember tbh.

Very solid, however I recall previous iterations having more of a maple flavor than this years.

Supremely well executed BB stout. Maple doesn't come off as insane and Wonka as I remember.

Slightly butthurt, we've gone from maple bourbon barrels to bourbon with maple syrup

A classic! Obligatory "Not as good as the OG" comment, but nothing ever is. Legit great still though! Glad to see it back!

Strong roasted coffee and sweet maple aroma and taste. Oak notes and a hint of bourbon. Started with a 4.75 but pushed it to a 5 as it warmed. Take your time with this one. It's a damned good beer, good to have it back.

Perhaps not as good as I remember, but still tasty. Needs to warm up a bit in the glass. 4.3 - 4.4 range.

Pretty good actually. Surprised I like this as much as I do.

Still true to form mostly. Bit more oakey barrel than booze though.

Less bourbon and maple with more chocolate and coffee. Miss the extra bourbon.

Pours opaque brown. Nose is cocoa & coffee with maple notes. Maple & cocoa forward with soft vanilla into the finish all on a light coffee base. Bourbon is a subtle accent. Wonderful body & mouthfeel. ABV very well hidden. Brewer's notes are spot on.

Hello Old Friend. Not as good as past years' bottles, but I'm glad this is back. We initiated the Cry It Out method with our baby tonight after a 2 month battle with her sleep. Needed to bring special coping skills to get through this. She's asleep!

Mmm, fresh CBS.See previous reviews of various vintages. This iteration has all the complex choco/java/mapley/roasty flavors but a very subtle bourbony/whiskyish note.Much less intense than previous years to my tastebuds but still worth every penny. Dear
