I didn’t think I’d like the pepper adjunct but it’s very subtle. Chocolate comes through far more noticeably. Turns out I like it. It’s been awhile since I could say that about a KBS variant. Too many crazy fruit mixtures lately.

I had to let this one warm to get the full chocolate flavor. I get milk chocolate with roasty malts and then the chili pepper spice hits me but not a overly strong which makes for a very nice blend.

It is spicy but not overwhelming like a lot of holiday spiced beers. The chocolate balances the spice really well. I could do this again. Paired well with Takeshi’s Castle.
