Tasty variation of a classic. Nice spice flavor and a rich chocolate taste without being too sweet.

2023. Very woody, very dry. Tons of chocolate. Becomes earthy. Sweetened cinnamon. Mild chili heat, but it's mostly on the tongue early.

Spicy Chocolate! The barrel presence is there, but not overpowering. Beautiful body, smooth & a lil’ slick. A little pepper flavor. The spice/heat level really isn’t much at all, almost no lingering heat, and I am disappointed in that.

Really tasty. However… Needs more chili & heat, it has a little chili and almost zero heat. Especially if they’re going to call it “spicy chocolate” and not “chili chocolate” or something.

Delicious kbs with a hint of pepper, maybe smoke but I didn't get any heat. Or at least not nearly enough to remember

Well...finally LEVEL 100 for "NEW BREW THURSDAY". Whew! Anyways, sure needed this 12% ABV brew today with a crazy afternoon with blowsniw and very low visibility and a first for a "Snow Squall Warning". Brew has a spicy chocolate aroma & taste. Boozy.

Pretty complex beer. Peat from the barrel, spice is well done, chocopate finish. Yet somehow it doesn’t wow me personally. But its VERY COMPLEX. Interesting variant.

I really like KBS. I really like mole style beers. This is both. This is the northern version of both…actually 4.1
