Dark chocolate soaking in whiskey barrels. Oaky whiskey barrel. Roasty malts and cinnamon a slight chili pepper warmth. Some fudge and vanilla. Overall, it's pretty damn good.

Pretty good, regular KBS with little more chocolate and hint of spicy heat as warms up.

Not overly spicy but does create a bitterness that I am not sure about.

Thin for a KBS. Not too spicy. The chocolate is very present. Taste great though. I wish it was thicker.

Chocolate, coffee, and a little bit of spice. Doesn’t taste like a 12%…😎🍻🇺🇸

Dark brown-black with steady tan head & lacing. Chocolate-n-chili pepper nose & taste; add dark-roast coffee flavor. There’s sweet-heat in the finish.

Chocolate. Light spice. Michigan’s take on Mexican chocolate. How many Mexicans are there in Michigan?

Doesn’t have that good bourbon taste kbs usually has. Kind of thin.

Lots of sweet chocolate. Not a ton of heat but the spice does creep up at the very end. Would be a 5 if it had just a more heat because the flavor is there.

Bourbon. Malt. Chocolate. Not much spice. Still solid, but underwhelming for a kbs variant.

Interesting palate. The spice feels more like a tingly sensation than real heat - but it carries through the drink and lingers a bit. The chocolate is excellent & what you would expect from a KBS.

I’ll hold the rest of these to see how it ages. Solid, but seems it could use some more time in a bottle or barrel.

It’s incredible, how it’s a low 4 average is laughable, only critique is it isn’t that spicy

Another good KBS variant w/nice mouthfeel/balance; certainly a smooth fooler of a 12%er & a malty/choco/roasty/javaish/slightly capsaicin-peppery-spicy flavor & lingering aftertaste. Good starter imp stout for those pepperhead curious. And oh, hey, LOOK!!

A good bit of coffee for sure, smoothed over with the chocolate and barrel of KBS. Spice/pepper, not so much.
