Base is fine enough but little to no spice at all.

I don't get a ton of spice or chocolate, at least on the front. I get mostly a coffee front, with a slight spicy backend.

Lots of spice on the nose. Not too much chocolate on the palette. It was worth it to try it. But I didn’t find it to be an outstanding stout compared to the other sweet stouts I’ve been exploring.

Not really doing it for me for the price. The spice is pretty mild and I’m not getting much barrel from it. Not bad, but not my favorite KBS.

HG likes a kick in the teeth. It reminds HG that there are legitimate challengers. This, however, kicks like the bottom of the order of the Memorial Elementary kindergarten kickball team. HG will have to find a kick somewhere else.
