PHENOMENAL! Chocolate, then coffee, then enough lasting heat to remind you it was there. Excellent job, Founders!!

“He who controls THE SPICE controls the universe”. I saw an early matinee of Dune Part II on my own, and this was the perfect beer for it. Deep, and full of spice.

Not as spicy as I would’ve liked it, but still phenomenal

Good thing I don’t go in early tomorrow. They have all the delicious high abv beers!

Delicious, smooth, balanced. Not a lot of spice per se, I think there's just enough to temper the flavors.

As great as I remember. And at 12 ABV, memory is a tricky thing.....

Delicious beer! Just spicy enough to add a pleasant tingly sensation.

Rich, dark chocolate with a side of coffee, chili peppers, and smoke (charred oak). Getting so much better and spicier as it warms!

Absolutely lovely spicy chocolate stout. So many stouts have too much smoke and end up tasting like an ashtray, and spicy beers too often and up trying to burn your face off. This is lovely, balanced, chocolatey, and has just the right amount of spice.

Me likey. The spice just gives the chocolate a sharpness. Definitely smooth and not boozy for a 12%.

The chocolate balanced it out nicely. Coco comes through.

Spicier as it warms.. More bourbon and barrel character than recent Founders barrel age series offerings. There’s chocolate, chocolate syrup, alcohol, bourbon, wood, vanilla, chocolate cake, brownies, chili peppers choc oat bar & cinnamon. Light coffee.

Fantastic as usual. Gets better the more is consumed and the warmer it gets. Spice stands out more than coffee flavor. Sweetness really hides the alcohol. Almost a cola like flavor. Very good will drink again

Is heavy. Has a moderate chocolate taste balanced evenly with the stout flavor. Has a small spiciness which stacks pleasantly onto it's other flavors and gently lingers. Feels the littlest bit bitter up front.

Not spicy but good pepper flavor. Minimal barrel aged flavor, well balanced. Nice chocolate flavor and dangerously smooth for the ABV. Fantastic.

Lots of dark chocolate, some smokiness, with oak, bourbon, and the hint of spiciness on the finish. Honestly it isn't too spicy like a lot of pepper spiced beers are. Really good variant and excited to see how it tastes in a year or so.

Medium, beige head and a black appearance, with minimal lacing. Aroma of brown bread crust and vegetal notes. Similar flavor, with low bitterness, sweetness, and heat. Medium body. Dry finish. RJT

Dark as night, oily head, oily and creamy mouth big chocolate and coffee, big hit in the middle of more intense flavors, some malt bight the first time around, mild abv burn. The spice kicks in 2/3 through on the throat, and lingers.
