Strong as get-out, with alcohol not at all hidden. Interesting blend of the malt and caramel flavors of a dubbel (or even a Quad) with the bitter hops of a big West Coast IPA. The oak aging adds lovely depth, but doesn't quite blend the flavors.

Tried an aged bottle from 2010. So mellow & full of caramel.

I mean, solid I guess. It’s a good ipa nothing to write home about.

I liked it, just not as much as other dfh offerings.

Vintage 2008. What?!? An old ass Imperial IPA? Nope. An old ass oak aged 10% ABV Imperial IPA. Any hops left? You kidding? Smells like oak and tastes like oak. Oaky with bready caramel malts, a quick splash of vanilla, a hint of orange peel, and alcohol.

Been cellaring this one since '15. It's gotten better with age.

Strong body, heady notes, boozy and fun. More drinkable than straight booze but meets it halfway!

Was t bad just wasn’t for me. Too malty, not enough hops.

English style ale (malt) and oak tank conditioning have taken over. Hopps are almost gone

Solid. Bigger than I thought it would be (and that is what she said).

Not sure the age on this one but hops are gone. More like barley wine at this point
