Comically strong! Like a quad with some jet fuel added, with the classic raisin and cherry notes on top of the alcohol. Whoo! Just one is fine with me!

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Nadel
My last one - I might cry a little. Raspberries caramel, dark chocolate, booze in the nose. Taste matches. Crazy long finish that continues to bloom after swallowing. Coating without being syrupy on the tongue. Sweet, decadent, rich as get-out. Awesome.

Aged 3 years! Sweet malt, vanilla, and brown sugar bourbon nose. Fluffy, full mouthfeel with great coating. Lovely long finish with lots of caramel flavor. ABV is well hidden. Such a loss that this one is discontinued!

Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute IPA Nadel
No head at all. Big nose of dark fruit and raisins is unexpected and quad-like! Murky brown. Taste is surprisingly quad-like too, nothing like TIPAs and the like. Super smooth, decadent, caramelly and malty. Zero bitterness, & boozy AF! Yum!

Reminiscent of a very boozy mimosa made at a ski lodge - strong orange juice flavors from the hops, plus a sturdy pine backbone. Not the best balanced, but certainly not terrible.

Lightly pungent nose is not too promising, but the medium body, smooth mouthfeel, and reasonable blend of hops and malt lead to a hefty and surprisingly lightly-sweet brew. Years ago I found this intolerably bitter, but that's not the case at all. B+

Drunk 6 months after bottling date - aged surprisingly well. Bourbon foundation is still present, with complementary vanilla and maple notes present even rather shortly after being removed from the fridge. Smooth, but strong. Tasty.

Velvety smooth, with the coffee, vanilla, maple, and bourbon flavors all beautifully blended. Desserty and luscious!

Dark chocolate on the nose this time. Really nice mouthcoating. Bourbon and maple and vanilla come through clearly. Ultra-smooth & silky. Decadent and desserty, with a long sweetened coffee finish. Yum.

A shot of bourbon with a bit of malt slipped in to tame the fire a bit. Strong for sure, but disappointingly unbalanced. Eh, I guess I'll drink it anyway, though... Hate to see 10% go to waste!

Gentle sweetened coffee nose. Nice coating body, with lovely flavor of (and similar texture to) vanilla cream nitro cold brew. Ultra-smooth & silky. Bourbon and maple are both surprisingly subtle; excellent balance. Chocolate malt comes out w/warming.

Spice, clove, banana, and orange peel notes in the nose. Flavor matches - tripel with muscular malt and hefty booze in the background. Rich and tasty.

Vanilla malt bourbon nose... Mmm. Tastes exactly what it sounds like - like a cocktail, with a shot of bourbon dumped into a generic lightly sweet and malty Oktoberfest Marzen. Certainly strong & autumnal, although not super well balanced. No need to rpt.

More like a strong dubbel, or even a Quad, with a bitter hop finish. Yummy!

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Nadel
Intoxicating cherry, orange peel, vanilla and bourbon nose - smells exactly like the cocktail. Tastes like it smells, made less overpoweringly sweet with the warming alcohol, but with a brown sugar note adding in on top. 13-month-old bottle - yummy!

Strong as get-out, with alcohol not at all hidden. Interesting blend of the malt and caramel flavors of a dubbel (or even a Quad) with the bitter hops of a big West Coast IPA. The oak aging adds lovely depth, but doesn't quite blend the flavors.

Strong sweet malt and oak barrel nose. Taste matches, with a bit of hop citrus and bite at the back of the palate to balance. A wonderful strong sipper. Delicious!
