World Wide Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged

Stout - Imperial / Double

Just when we thought World Wide Stout couldn’t get any better… Our brewers decided to take a Dogfish Head legend and age it on charred oak bourbon barrels acquired directly from Heaven Hill Distillery – still wet with spirits when they arrived at the brewery! Rare and often rumored about in the darkest corners of the beer community, this variety of World Wide Stout is dark, rich, roasty and complex, balancing notes of coffee and licorice with the carmely, smooth finish of bourbon. Clocking in at 15-18% ABV, Bourbon Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout is an excellent candidate for cellaring, so grab a few bottle to enjoy now and lay the others down for a few years. You’ll be happy you did … trust us.

Big boozy coffee hit up front. Slight sweetness but nice bourbon aftertaste. Very nice.

Sweet chocolate aroma. Sweet, slight chocolate and molasses notes. Boozy finish, but no burn. Always good.

Might be on the top 2-3 list of my favorite beers for Imperial Barrel Aged Stouts. Over 17% ABV! Cherry chocolate coffee favored sherry. Amazingly complex. A great dessert beer. Highly recommended. Oh and did I say strong!

Bottled Nov 1/19. Rich and full without being viscous - bourbon booziness with layers of caramel, vanilla, dates, molasses and soft notes of cocoa and coffee. Wonderful warming 6 oz bomb (split 2 ways) - you’re a monster if you consume alone.

Surprised. Idk if it’s the first beer of the night effect or if it’s getting better.. might just age those last 5 a little longer

Bourbon, oak and maple on the nose. Layered dark fruit flavors (fig, plum, dates, raisins) are complemented by bourbon notes. Not too boozy (having been bottles Nov. 2019. Thank you, Kris T. !

Split at 12oz bottle with a buddy. Boozy as hell. Great bourbon and world class mouthfeel. One hell of a night cap for stout night at 20% abv

More barley wine than stout but still solid. Super smooth with lots of ripe fruit and bourbon finish. Well done.

Almost feels a little more barleywine than stout but the bourbon is great and the abv is super well hidden.
