Very long and odd description (so DFH) of what is basically an IPA IPA. When your friend says "I don't like IPAs" this is the beer they mean. Great

Starts out like a clear IPA with a slight piney taste and finishes with a nice caramel malt, but neither is super strong.

Toffee and caramel are the prevailing flavors here, which surprised me. There’s bitterness on the finish, but the hop freshness is buried.

crystal malt and old-school hop varieties Cascade & Centennial and a nose of grapefruit, pine and hints of toffee and a rich, full mouthfeel with enough bitterness to balance the sweet caramel maltiness
