Russian Imperial Stout with Syrah grape, I love the vintage stuff here! Balanced and mellow. Father Time has been good to this batch. A little roasty finish

Oloroso Barrel-Aged Olde School Barleywine Moore
WOCAAS prix fixe! Bacon wrapped stuffed dates paired w/ Barleywine brewed w/ mission figs and medjool dates, then aged for 15 months in Spanish oloroso sherry barrels. Notes of rich toffee, toasted walnut & dried fruits. Fabulous start!

Incredible gem to find on draft in little Dover! So tasty and roasty. I had to order it twice.

Imperial Stout brewed with toasted coconut, dehydrated coconut powder and Tanzanian cocoa powder. Wish they dialed back on the cocoa powder. I want to be fair but this is tough to finish.

Collab w/ Delaware Artists. Kettle sour with tea, pomegranate, and ginger. Light, not too bitter. Solid concoction.

Red Ale. Light, Malty. Different strokes for different folks but not for me. Sorry.

East Coast IPA. Slight piney backbone with a smidge of sweetness in the backend. It’s good for what it is

Coffee cream stout with roasty espresso and vanilla. It was brewed with toasted hazelnuts and Madagascar vanilla beans. Contains Lactose & Tree Nuts. Wowza! This is tasty! A little thin but that’s okay. The hazelnut in the finish is on 👌

An oak-aged Imperial Wit ale brewed with grape must. Grape profile is still there but the wit is fading. A lovely throwback for what it is!

Belgian strong ale. Another G. Boozy, strong, with some spice in the backend

A sort of Saison, fermented with Botrytis-infected Viognier and Pinot Gris grapes. Brewed with Pils malt, organic Hard Red Winter Wheat malt, Warrior hops, Willamette hops, Liberty hops, Saison yeast and Botrytis wine must. Smooth, soft. I dig it!

Porter. Chocolate Lobster variant w/ a blend of Hershey's Organic Special Dark Cocoa Powder, Almond Powder, Ancho Chilis & a blend of spices. I’m digging this! Solid notes of cocoa and spices. I hope Dogfish keeps making variants of some of their classics

Jamaican-inspired export stout brewed from two types of roasted barley and toffee-ish crystal malt and raw demerara sugar. The ginger notes are a nice surprise!

Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute IPA Moore
A little sweeter than I expected, but I’m thoroughly enjoying it! This is a great iteration of one of my all time Dogfish beers

The Boys are back in town! I don’t recall having this on nitro. Coffee goodness and so smooth!

Happy 1/20 Day! One of my perennial favorites, even after all these years. Boozy, sweet, and strong. I’m of the opinion 120 IPAs should be aged at least 1-2 years to be best enjoyed. The exception being if it’s on tap

Bottled May 2014! Boozy sweetness for days! Wow! I’m convinced now more than ever that 120 IPAs are best if they’re at least 5 years old

Boozy goodness — still my number one DFH. I don’t truly have a dog in this fight, but there’s something about the Warriors I just don’t like. Hopefully we get a game 7 at least. Cheers!

First check in since 2014. A cross between a Scotch Ale, an India Pale Ale and an American Brown. Hoppy and malty at the same time. Interesting dynamic, my palette has changed quite a bit in 7 years! I like the caramel in this

DIPA with pine, grapefruit, and orange peel. Intense bitterness supported by a touch of Delaware caramel malt sweetness. Decent balance.

Dirt Nap (Freaky Friday Edition) Moore
Recipe swap w/ The Veil. DIPA hopped with Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin hops. This is terrific ! I haven’t had the OG but DFH did well here. Slight tropical notes yet mellow and hoppy.

Weekend Compelling Double Barel-Aged 120 Minute IPA Moore
Lost check in. 120 Minute IPA that was split into Samuel Adams Utopias and rye whiskey barrels and aged for 20 months. This was ridiculous! Remarkably smooth and well blended.

Ale brewed with Viognier grape juice, peaches, blood oranges, lemon, oranges, and lime. Interesting combo, for what it is — it’s solid.

East Side of the West Side Moore
crystal malt and old-school hop varieties Cascade & Centennial and a nose of grapefruit, pine and hints of toffee and a rich, full mouthfeel with enough bitterness to balance the sweet caramel maltiness

Alphonso Mango from India, Colombian Tangerine, Yellow Cardamom from the Cloud Forest of Costa Rica, Egyptian Rosewater and Madagascar Vanilla Beans. It has a sweet tartness, warm spice, floral notes and lactic tanginess in a creamy base beer. Boom!

Sour Dreams Session Sour Moore
Kettle sour dry-hopped with Mosaic and El Dorado. Sour power hour in this one!

Initial malt and light caramel flavors give way to a distinctive dry-roasted bitterness in the finish. The emphasis of coffee-like roasted barley gives it a Roasty character

Gose brewed with pink guava puree, key lime puree, coriander, pink Himalayan salt and fresh mint. Wow, refreshing!

Brown ale brewed w/pumpkin, brown sugar, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg. It’s interesting how the batches vary annually. One year the brown sugar was just perfect. Now it’s barely there w/ tons of spice & a dash of pumpkin. Cheers to September! 🍺
