Langosta Chocolatada

Porter - Other

Many Dogfish Head legacy beers have devoted followings. Chocolate Lobster has a different breed of devotee. This one's for the superfans! Langosta Chocolatada re-imagines this unique porter by incorporating exciting culinary traditions to bring the additional complexity of mole with a blend of Hershey's Organic Special Dark Cocoa Powder, Barney Butters Almond Powder, Ancho Chilis and a lavish blend of savory spices. Over the course of two months, our talented chefs at Chesapeake and Maine labored over a meaningful volume of lobster demi-glace made from lobster carcasses which leant their flesh to feed our guests. The result is a magical blend of bittersweet cocoa, spices and complex umami that is thought provoking and ultimately a delicious

Antique oiled oak wood cabinet woody bite to a brittle high-cocoa bitter chocolate crunch in a rich roast malt Porter. Cheers!

Not going to rate because I’m really not sure if I like or dislike it. VERY different. One of the most unique beers I’ve ever had.

Definitely a rich, dark porter with a distinct finish thanks to the chilies, spices and Lobster demi-glace. Very nice for the Porter fan.

Miss the original choco lobster porter. Not a huge fan of the chilis in this.

Choc-lobster by any other name is still tasty. I want the old bay taste shakes back a bit. Still tasty.

Another unique combination from DFH. Chocolate Porter with chilies and lobster demi glace. Rich, dry finish.

Just about as good as it gets. A smooth porter with complex flavors to go with fresh oysters

It may not be there, but I smell old bay. Very smooth. Quite tasty. Chocolatey. A note of smokiness? I’m rating this much higher than the original Choc Lobster I had 7 years ago.

Where to begin with this one. First tit was sold as the “dead lobster carcass”beer. Now that I had it it is a weird mix of seafood and candy with dark chocolate. This is honestly an enigma and a good one at that

I’m sorry but it’s like you put 100 % coco powder on a lobster roll. It’s not for me sorry

Porter. Chocolate Lobster variant w/ a blend of Hershey's Organic Special Dark Cocoa Powder, Almond Powder, Ancho Chilis & a blend of spices. I’m digging this! Solid notes of cocoa and spices. I hope Dogfish keeps making variants of some of their classics
