Lovely dark amber hue in this rather bombastic 80 IBU bitter Westie ImpIPA. Brewmaster notes tout a 7 hop blend, I’m guessing Cascade is one of the main ones…a resinous green bud backside buzz. Echoes a bit at finish, and nicey so. Sourdough. Cheers!

Frootwood L

Syrupy sweet cherry-laden Bourbon barrel Ale. Lower lip sticking to the glass rim. Lovely red color with bone-white head. Candy-ish and boozy main drive, strandy…almost Cognac. Bitter black cherry skin bite in back. A session-finisher. Cheers!

Backwoods Bastard 2021 L

Mythic arboreal depth to this rich caramel malt Scotch Wee Heavy. Sticky stained aged oak barrel staves, wisp of smoke, brandied fruits… big flavor medley, soft mellow delivery. New angles to consider with each sip. Cheers!

Alehouse 75 L

Grassy, resinous pinewood pale IPA. More front bark than back bite. Dryish malt growl underneath, shifting gears to semi sweet with a faint citrus lift at finish. Cheers!

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa L

Subterranean Morlock dark roast, fiesty tangy Bourbon barrel groove…cinnamon, java, and banana-bread spices sharpen the hop bite, while vanilla and malt work on the other side to soften it. Sippin’ adventures last until the bottom of the glass. Cheers!

Woof! Huge mouth explosion of flavors, then 11.5 ounces of sips left to try to figure out what the hell just happened. Big oak barrel, dark cherry, dusted rum balls, vanilla…and a gaping malt abyss. Laid down a few of these bad boys for later. Cheers!

A caffeinated plunge into the roasty malt depths. Flaky brittle bitter chocolate meets oat smoothness... bites hard, glides fast. Robust. Cheers!

Roast malt twangy Scotch Ale. Hint of figs, cider, and a whiff of smoke. Glowing ruddy hue with an abundant khaki head. Mild piney hop back bite, smidge of heat in the spice. Tankard brew! Cheers!

Dogfish flagship IPA still delivers a solid piney front bite with a tropical citrus sideshow in this 2020 version. Drank my first on tap at their Rehobeth bar, this brew is a great pair for raw oysters, lemon, hot sauce, and sports on TV. Cheers!

Oktoberfest L

Founders rocks the Fests. Lots of tongue tingle, caramel, with a mildly bitter woody backstop. The glide is steel rollercoaster smooth and fast. Reinheitsgebot drinker!

Marvelroast (2020) L

Java vanilla smoothie. Rich roasty Imperial Golden Ale, loaded with aromatic coffee and cocoa. Milk sugar glide enhancement. Lovely brandy hue, drinks darker than it looks. An eye-opener. Cheers!
