Scorcher Selector

Stout - Foreign / Export

Brewer Bryan has had a long love affair with reggae music and is always a sucker for a classic scorcher blasting out of the stereo. This Jamaican-inspired export stout is a toast to the selector who put that record on! Brewed from two types of roasted barley and toffee-ish crystal malt and raw demerara sugar, Scorcher Selector comes correct with plenty of bottom end to carry the bright high notes of Tonga ginger from our pals at Burlap & Barrel.

Very nice! Great balance on all the malt and spice profile. Too much ginger would have been a mistake, but this had the perfect amount to enhance all the other stout flavours. And the nitro added a silken smoothness.

Lovely. Silky smooth nitro with a little flavor burst of ginger. Crushable.

Creamy stout with burnt sugar notes and heavy ginger throughout. Very unique.

Ooohh. Now this is something different. Typical dark ale body. The flavor starts ambiguously and then POW something new and slightly spicy and earthy. What could it be? Ginger.

It’s so good I had to have a full pour! This pint was compliments of Dogfish Head for my birthday month.

Is this the best stout I’ve ever had? No. Pretty sure they referred to this as a Jamaican style stout who would’ve guessed that was a thing. This is definitely standard as far as dark beer goes. Good? Yes. Memorable? Probably not. More like a soft 4.

If you like black coffee or dark chocolate, you'll like this beer. The ginger and vanilla come through at the end to smooth it out. If you're in Rehoboth, I highly recommend trying this one!

A nice smooth stout since it's over nitro. It's almost a little smokey.
