Love the Dogfish Head 120 so I had to try this one. Very good. Smooth for 17% ABV.

There is really only one way this beer could be any better....

This is interesting! I think the dry hop after the 12 months in the barrel help it out not to be straight barley wine. 17%👀 FUN!! 4.56789?

The Utopias barrel aging overrides the base maltiness of the hops/IPA side of this one. Still excellent but I would like to compare it to the standard.

Backlog. I thought this was just still gonna be 120 with maybe a little something extra, but I was shocked how much I enjoyed this. That Utopias barrel gives this a whole Bwizzle dynamic. Would definitely grab again.

Interesting that now that I have experienced Utopias, the flavor is easy to recognize in this. Fantastic

Been waiting to grab this one. So smooth and delicious. Easy drinker for such a high abv

Hard core golden apples, with a sweet malty complex followed by a brandy style warmth.

Interesting flavors from the barrel. A totally changed ipa

Not what I was expecting at all. Very little hops and mostly tasted caramel/figs. Very good beer but not sure if I can handle many of them at 17% abv

The taste follows the nose with very well balanced Utopia barrels, citrus and hop flavors. Alcohol aftertaste burns to sweet and burn.

Boozy amd full-bodied. Nice I picked this beer between the 2 choices I was offered.

Tastes like a good barleywine. I’m into it

So rich, full, fruity and smooth, never suspect it it is 17%, except for the barrel boozy. Which I thought was bourbon barrels, but is beer barrels. Aged in Sam Adam's Utopias barrels (barrels from cognac and Madeira), 28% with MSRP of $240 a bottle.

Probably the strongest beer I’ve ever had. Tasty, though!

Nice barrel aged flavors, get a lot more barrel flavor than the 120. I think I may like regular 120 a little bit better.

Make no mistake, it’s a barleywine, not an ipa. But it’s FANTASTIC

I mean.......at this point just call it a barleywine. But holy shit that's delicious. Sweet but balanced, a little raisin and brown sugar. Looking forward to seeing how this ages.

Woah. Pretty sweet and boozy. Not heavy on the IPA front, but very unique.

NOT hype. Maybe the most complex IPA I’ve ever had. More like a barleywine. Sweet. Thick. Syrupy. Hoppy. 17% boozy to the point of heat. Amazing sipper. Best 120 to date. Cellaring my last bottle.

A lot smoother than I expected. Does not drink like a 17%

A little sweeter than I expected, but I’m thoroughly enjoying it! This is a great iteration of one of my all time Dogfish beers
