Man.... I REALLY wanted to luv this. But I didn't. The bourbon flavor just isn't for me, especially mixed with beer. Unfortunately dumped it out after 4 or 5 sips

Take one of Dogfish Head’s best beers and age it in barrels from one of Sam Adams’ best beers (that I still need to try BTW)?! Why, YES!! You get awesomeness!

Can't believe this is 17%. The alcohol is really well hidden (but sneaks up on you quickly). Has the maltiness and hoppiness expected from DFH 120. I haven't yet had the pleasure of trying Utopias so I have no reference, but the barrel aging adds vanilla.

Wow this is a mammoth beer. Barrel is def there. Very rich and syrupy. Still some hop flavor if you swish it around near the edge of your tongue. I like fresh regular 120 better.

Tastes a lot like mead…it’s really good but fairly confusing to parse out. That barrel makes it wild.

Sure smells like a Utopias. Toffee sherry nose. And alcohol. Not your average IPA. I would call this a raisiny barleywine but DH wants to market it otherwise. Don’t down a 6 pack! Hops are hard to find.

So good. Definitely a step up from the 120. So much Carmel and lovely smell.

Wonderful. Tons of caramel, vanilla, and rich oak. Still getting the clean hops of the regular 120 but with so much more body
