First sip was boozy, manageable after that. Definitely does not taste like an IPA, more like a boozy barleywine. Now that I've had one fresh, looking forward to see how it changes with age.

17%?? Smooth, but barley wine smooth. Wouldn’t quantify as an ipa

Cloudy copper pour. Drinks sweet throughout with a hint of smoke. Finishes with a nice alcohol burn.

Barrel aged IPA. Eigentlich sträubt sich alles in mir dagegen, aber es muss probiert werden: Rosinen, Pflaume, süße, marmelade, fruchtig, karamellig, leicht alkoholisch. Irgendwie gut.

Everything I expected. The Utopias flavor and aroma are definitely there, but without overwhelming the classic 120 Minute taste.

Tastes more barley wine then IPA— Victoria got me and deserves recognition. Phenomenal beer; a real kick in the knackers.

Couldn’t wait. A lot going on. BIG Utopia barrel. Quite sweet. Hoppy but not bitter. Like a monster barleywine. Really looking forward to 5/20’s 120 vertical flight night now. Thanks for the sacrifice Clayton C. You made this slow sipper possible.

Utopias barrel aging takes the hop edge off of this one. It’s still hoppy, & intensely boozy. But the overall impression is boozy dark fruit — let’s say raisins — w/ a hop backbone. And it’s scrumptious. I need to buy another for aging.

Right, front. Like a super hoppy, sweet and rich and creamy Barleywine. Alcohol is present, but yeah, hell, it’s 17ABV.

A chewy, slightly caramel taste. Nose warns of booze, taste doesn't portray it. Slight hop bite finish and a delicious lingering finish. Can't wait to do a Heaven/Hell with both Utopias versions.
