2019. Bourbon, raisin, dark chocolate aroma. Rich chocolate, fig, some raisin, and a lot of bourbon without any harshness. Well balanced. Really fantastic at this point, though I don't know what it was like new in 2019. I'd never guess it's 18%.

2019, specific time stamp generally illegible on this batch. After warming a bit, mostly chocolate bourbon stands out.

Bottled March of 2019. Thick and chewy. The years of aging have made it smooth woody and slightly sweet with a nice mouthfeel and a slightt alcohol burn. I'm inspired to go buy some more and age them.

Decided to open up a bottle of this from the cellar collection. A little over 4 years old. Rich and sweet, but incredibly smooth and pretty well balanced. Delicious, and quite deadly for how easy it goes down at ~18%!!!

Dogfish Head absolutely NAILS this beer! Phenomenal. Big sipper. Gets more enjoyable as it warms.

Boozy as hell still . Rich malty notes with bourbon for days. Oak with a undertones of vanilla and brown sugar. Spicy bite with a clean finish

Last night’s nite-cap - Boozy bourbon and hot chocolate, the kind you get in a Paris cafe that serves hot chocolate. A bit thin for an 18.3% BBA Imperial Stout, but oh so drinkable. I think DFH’s big abv beers are a bit gimmicky/pricy but I like them!

A warmer upper for sure. At 48.5 F the bourbon is increasing to provide a nice backdrop to the encrypted malt goodness decoding itself layer by layer . Nice Ale/Bourbon clinic tonight guys , Cheers 🍻 🍺🥃
