Wowza. Wish I checked the %. Didn’t mean to crack something this strong !! This is very interesting. Wish I had a few.

Some sediment at the bottom which could be expected.

Smooth and sweet. Deep caramel like taste. Much better than the jet fuel taste when fresh!

Round 3 - Catch up - one of the best ever! So impressed with this year. So smooth and boozy, hints of raisins, dates, plums, toffee, oak and maple and even subtle spices that make the hops settle smoothly throughout the experience. Very nice. Even better

Solid. Layers of colors…smooth, has a slight sweetness…it’s strong!

The last one. It's so damn smooth and crushable. 120 ages with the best of them.

Aged five years. Absolutely amazing. So smooth. No alcohol taste. Would never guess this is 17%.

Like a slightly sweet hoppy barleywine. Smooth and sneaky 17%.

Bottled 3/16/17. Smells like wort. Surprisingly still a bit boozy even after all this time, with a lot of raisin too. No bitterness left.

Gonna say that five years (bottle was purchased Nov. 2017) is too long. Presents as an above-average, leathery/port wine barleywine, but the finish is too much tobacco - maybe the hops taking a bad turn?

Tastes great with 5 years on it. But more than 5 oz would be way too much.

I have liked other years better. Maybe this one aged too long? Idk 🤷♂️

Holy booze. Age did this beer ok ? A bit of a copper finish.

Most of the pine and citrus bitterness has faded and leaves behind a predominantly burnt caramel sweetness. This beer is probably best with 1-3 years of age. Also showing off my new glassware from Pretentious Glassware Co.!

I guess it takes 5-6 years for an imperial IPA to turn into a barley wine

Cellar clear out 2023!! This tastes like cough syrup though.

Cleaning out the pantry. Bottled 12/16/17. Time flies. Still tastes good.

I’m an IPA guy I swear. But this one’s too much for me 😬

After 5 years of aging this thing has mellowed out a bit. Still lacks quite a punch. Not hoppy like it would be fresh.

bottled 10/26/17. Much more malt forward, borderline sherryish. Tons of stone fruity flavors. Still pretty alcohol potent, almost like a light bourbon.

Holy crap. Boozy brew with dark brew traits. Thanks Dustin!!!

The niners were devastated but the beer was elevated. Even better with age. Glad I saved it! Pairs perfectly with stardawg enjoying this snowy day!

Another one for the tradition. Definitely getting smoother as it aged.

Bottle from March 2017. Not what I expected; all malt and kind of flat. Maybe too old.
