Monday, not as flavorful as I remembered, probably influenced by a full stomach from dinner.

When your wife( who hates IPAs) says “this is delicious “, you know you’ve entered barley wine territory. I happen to agree.

Thick body with slight carbonation; Notes of burnt caramel and fig upfront with a piney hop bite on the finish. Slight alcohol heat. Would still be good in a few years.

I haven't had a drink, yet. At 18% ABV, this is the size of the pour. After aging three years, this isn't nearly the alcohol punch in the face as it is when first bottled. It has a sweetness to it, similar to a mead or barleywine.

Taste roses. Very smooth but this is the oldest I would go.

Big smooth malty sweet triple IPA. BIG smooooth sipper. Did I say smooth? Mild hop notes.

More like a barleywine at this point. Intense, well-preserved, impressive. #drinklocal

Well this one I aged for 3 years. Notice the nice Carmel color!! Drinks more like a Barley Wine now!! Oh so good!!!

Next to last of my 2017s. At first I was disappointed but as it warmed up a little it jumped in a big way! Will see if last one is better next year. Can’t wait

Tastes more like a barley wine at this point. Not upset at all about that.

Bottled in 2017. Sweet, hoppy , and slightly boozy. Just a solid beer when aged.

120s for 420 😆 Nose is big resiny and bold. Flavor now almost starts salty, malt is strong but booziness is here front and center (in a good way). Doesn't burn, jist becomes a strong player. Wonderful and very different than fresh!

Holding up. Lots of caramel and malt coming through. Still boozy!

"Fresher" and more complex than last bottle, more honeyed nose, hop bitterness really speaks this time, still buried under massive honeyed fruit, 1 minute+ long finish, amazing depth and balance between malt, hoppy fruit and bitterness, outstanding!

Jesus. This is a barleywine not an IPA. So much malty sweetness.

Drinking this seems to have become a yearly tradition. Essentially a barleywine, with loads of malt and classic hops.

3.5 years old. Delicious. I’ll have to buy some fresh and sit on em for a decade or so
