Nice chewy barleywine. Figs and dates still present, but not in your face. Very enjoyable. Thanks Greg D. !

Wow. Glad I sat on this for so long. Barrel but not as firey boozy as it once was. Smells like straight up apple cider. So smooth now. Hint of sweetness but you have to look for it. This is a mama drink right here boys.

I have saved this barley wine for special occasions. The special occasion yes I was in the mood for a good barley wine. It delivered.

Either I appreciate the style more 4-5 years later or it aged beautifully. Enjoying a high abv nightcap 🍻

Sadly past it’s prime and doesn’t have those butterscotch and black licorice notes I was hoping for. Inoffensive nose and a little figgy but otherwise mineraly and just falls flat. Next time I’ll age just a year or two.

Wasn’t the biggest fan of this - very boozy, malty, has a bitter finish. Tastes like a very old bottle - curious how a 10+ year old bottle might be. This was like a hybrid of a barleywine and a strong Belgian quad

Raymond S. You were right. A little more time in the cellar turned the figs and dates Into smooth players.

This is a barley wine that would put hair on your chest. After four years in the cellar it is one smooth hombre. Kooringal Loosely means by the shore, and the name of the company that made my Wool cap in Australia. Both are smooth high-quality performers.
