Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) V.
Had to buy a 4 pack of this, and I've been holding on to it. Ugh. It's alright, but coffee heavy imo. Even after pushing 8 months. Also forgot the pic til now. Ugh again. It's decent, but not worth a premium imo.

One of the better 90 minutes I've had in awhile. Great balance of malt and hops.

Not bad, but more floral and bitter than I'd like for a hazy of course.

One of the few places that I know that comp this. And old classic DIPA that's malt forward.

More roasty than I care for as it tastes like strong coffee. Some chocolate too? But it sure hides the strength well. Thanks Greg D. !

Letting this mellow a year was a good idea. Barrel taking out the peaty stuff I hate. Best "Scotch Ale" I've had. M

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) V.
Hello cinnamon! Also a buttery tinge at first. Lots of maple. Great take on French Toast! Thanks Greg D. !!!

The scotch ale mellowed a lot in the last two months, or my palate is in a better mood. Delicious. All the flavors working together. Very smooth caramel notes.

Not bad, but less barrel and more scotch ale this year to me. But still pretty good.

Eh, I'll check in the undated check-in here. 2021 batch. At 3 months, i thought way too much coffee. At 10 months more balanced and drinkable.

Coffee certainly very present, and i don't sense too much barrel, but I feel like it fits in well with the rest of the brew. Thanks Kevin K.!

I lines this one. I liked the healthy cinnamon and vanilla. Not much barrel and all, and very smooth for 12%. Thanks Kevin K. !

Rob K. told me this was A++. I guess he likes black coffee. Agree with Kevin K. and Lauren's assessment. The coffee is the main thing here by far. It's okay otherwise, but I hoped for more. Thin and pretty crushable. Thanks Michelle P. !

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter V.
Unfortunately I've never had a highball to compare. But a nice Bourbon ale. It's presence is clear and upfront, but not so strong to be off-putting. Maybe a bit woody. Thanks Michelle P.! Happy New Year everyone!!! Here's to a better 2022!

Replacement beer. Classic DIPA. But too malty for my tastes now. Quite chewy by today's standard.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) V.
Tons of coffee this year. Gonna let others age a bit. But pretty drinkable.

Nice chewy barleywine. Figs and dates still present, but not in your face. Very enjoyable. Thanks Greg D. !

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) V.
Oct 2020 bottle. Decent time to drink it. Barrel not too overpowering and coffee and chocolate notes are at a good level. Good mouthfeel. 4.65ish.

Best option because space dust was out. Lost $40 while playing and helping the person that I misread. Lol This trip has been ROUGH to say the least.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) V.
Pretty solid. The barrel is a decent level now. Nice amount of chocolate. Not quite as good as BCBS, but pretty close.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) V.
Super solid. Fudge totally shines. When I first began to drink this it reminded me the taste of a fudgsicle with a bit of booze from the barrel. Thick and dangerously drinkable. Thanks Kevin K. !

Over the years, I'm loving this more and more. Their barrel aging truly takes out everything i don't like about scotch ale. Now it's smooth and strong. Very crushable. Thanks Kevin K. ! Almost bought another single in Wisconsin for ~$4. Should have!

overall not bad. And def. different. Nice coffee notes, but the vanilla borders on perfumy. Thanks Kevin K. ! And this was my anniversary present. The frame didn't fit though. I bought it on our 1st anniversary. Her coworker completed during quarantine.
