This is rich, great barrel-aged taste but incredibly strong. Dangerous to say with how ridiculously strong it is, but drink it quick while it's cold.

Just about 2 years since originally trying. Either it got sweeter as it aged, or all the yuengling has fucked up my palate. Either way, it’s strong af and there’s a reason 12 bottles have lasted this long.

Heavy, malty. boozy and dry roasty with some stingy wood, oak, syrup and earthiness, hints of warming alcohol. Quite intense.

Very thin for abv. Very simple for what I thought would be a very complex beer. Masks the alcohol very well but had higher expectations.

Extremely boozy, really close to a 4.00, 3.90 final for me, interested to let this sit for a year and see how it ages

Smells and tastes of brandy. A very astringent, hot, booziness to it then the roastiness of the stout. A lot of caramelized barrel burnt notes.

Interesting... Kind of wish I let it sit. I don't like the finish

This is a 4.25 beer. Discounted because of the stupid price. Not boozy taste for its high content. I wish it was a little more stoutier. Good beer though.

With the first craft beer glass I ever bought. Lots of Utopias flavor. I can only imagine what a SP or WW stout aged in this barrel would do. Tasty but hot as expected.

Chocolate but the bourbon finish was really slow to appear … thin body

So definitely get barrel flavors, but found this kind of harsh on the finish. Super boozy as expected. Have had better takes on this style of beer from lower production breweries though.

As if WWS needed to get any boozier, they put it in utopia barrels.

I was super hype to get this beer... really the most oak I have tasted in a beer, too much. Probably / maybe ages out of the harshness

A case of missed expectations... Might buy another to agree

IDT I'm doing this right. I get lots of wine-like overtones

3.9 I think last year's was better. I know everyone claims "batch 1 is best" but this was not like last year's. A tad thinner, more like a strong ale than stout, and last year the Utopias really shined. Good, not great. Still a solid beer
