La Vie est Solidaire (2019) Bousquet
Not quite the same experience I had with La Vie Est Belge but still so funky and unique. Probably because I'm not at Cantillon.

Ben and I both had reasons to celebrate. Not much of a better beer I could think of to open in this situation. Cheers homie.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Bousquet
3.9 I think last year's was better. I know everyone claims "batch 1 is best" but this was not like last year's. A tad thinner, more like a strong ale than stout, and last year the Utopias really shined. Good, not great. Still a solid beer

So unique, and pairs really nice with the unique pizzas we ordered at Pasta Madre

Tyrnilambic Baie D'Argousier (2021) Bousquet
I love walking into places with things like this on tap and here it's normal. In the States, there is a line for this. However, they have bottles lining the wall here with American breweries and I'm sure they have the same feeling about those beers

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut (2020) Bousquet
The carbonation works so great with this beer. Nice & funky, with a little pop. One of my favorites on the board at Cantillon. Last day at Cantillon.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2021) Bousquet
Emilia was having a rough night right when we got to Nona pizza so I asked to have the pizza to go. Got back to the Airbnb and Catherine told me to eat while putting her to sleep. Got the Airbnb setup for Neapolitan pizza and Gueuze

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2019) Bousquet
This is incredible. From winemaker, similar to beer, 6 years in barrels, pellicle, barrels evaporate over the years, Cantillon gets 2 of these barrels per year, very limited, before Covid this wasn't publicly available, only available to bring people in

Also red wine grapes from France but much prefer this over Trousseau. Really nice. Catherine is a big fan.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio Bousquet
Guess I've never checked in the master. It's not my favorite offering from Cantillon but still appreciate the beer.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2021) Bousquet
Absolutely would not recommend carrying this around in a backpack all day, and then touching the cage in the evening. Sounded like a shotgun. Definitely sit on this 4-5 years if not more. So much carbonation. Otherwise nice funk

Even Jean said back in 2008 this was unbalanced. Orange peel, cardamom notes, and just a bit too odd for me.

Was going to get this bottle later this week but the guy I was drinking with said it was his favorite so he got one. Agree, it's just a very nice beer.

Listening to people from the UK talk about Brexit 😂, feels like I'm at work.

Such a unique bottle. The macerated grapes give this some interesting flavors that are hard to explain. Almost like I get some cucumber with the grape
