Dark and roasty. Has a interesting booziness to it that I can only assume is the utopia. As it warms it gets a little more boozy but with a nice cocoa backbone.

Really impressed with this one, a lot going on here, booze and raisins, like a fine liquor. Excellent

Jon..... you're a gentleman AND a scholar. Thanks!!

I've been looking forward to this beer. A Dogfish Head brewed stout aged in Samuel Adams Utopia barrels has impressive "parentage". This hides it's ABV very well except for a warming sensation.

Delicious roasty, caramel, vanilla, dark fruit.. Boozy but in a good way.

Bob says this has "ultra deliciousness." Big, BIG molasses. Absolutely wonderful! 17% ABV has to be the highest I've had. (Certainly the highest I've had at work.)

A beautiful base stout made very smooth by barrel aging in barrels that held perhaps the most complex beer/liqueur in the world. What could go wrong? Nothing, really.

I share this coat rod bracket's sentiments about this beer.

Never had a smoooooother 17% beer. Sweeter (more Utopias flavor) when cold, then mellows even more as it warms. Top shelf all the way.

Coffee, booze, unique, dry backend, figs, toffee. Complex, robust. Very interesting. Not super thick, but very intense.

If this is what I can expect with my Utopias, then I am pretty excited to crack that open.

MNF with Ryan B. Iām going to have to buy more of these. Delish.

It was WAY smoother than most of DF's other heavies. Thought it was very solid. Got another couple sitting. Try em in a few

Wow! This pops with warm coziness and chocolate cherries on a cold night to start of the holiday season. Boozy 17%.

Not too boozy for 18%, but definitely a sipper. Perfect hop/malt balance for a big beer. As it warmed, the flavor and barrel aroma developed into something extraordinary. Take your time with this one, since it took it's time to reach your glass.

The splurge ($13 for a 12oz) was worth it. A boozier yet still smooth version of WW Stout. A sipper, which I can sip on all day š»

If you like Utopias, and I do, you'll love this beer. A bit boozy, but less so than I anticipated. Not near as sweet as I expected.

No burn. Heavy molasses. Chocolatey hits you on the back end. How in the hell is this 17%?? Hides this incredibly well. Unbelievable

I broke it out for Thanksgiving and holy crap is it amazing. World wjde stout (malty and chocolate) initially but then a nice dry finish on the backend

Gotta get this holiday started right. Almost makes me wish I could buy some actual utopias.
